Foreign Exchange Rates for Saturday Fixed

Kathmandu — Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Saturday. According to the determined rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at NPR 146.88, while the selling rate stands at NPR 147.48. Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro is NPR 175.12 and the selling rate is NPR 175.83. The UK pound sterling has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 201.94 and a selling rate of NPR 202.76, while the Swiss franc stands at NPR 191.09 for buying and NPR 191.87 for selling.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at NPR 102.79 and the selling rate at NPR 103.21. Likewise, one Canadian dollar is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 108.51 and a selling rate of NPR 108.95, while the Singapore dollar has been fixed at NPR 115.84 for buying and NPR 116.31 for selling.

For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units has been set at NPR 9.53 and the selling rate at NPR 9.57. The Chinese yuan is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 21.13 and a selling rate of NPR 21.21. Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal has been fixed at NPR 39.16 for buying and NPR 39.32 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at NPR 40.30 for buying and NPR 40.47 for selling.

According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 4.68 and a selling rate of NPR 4.70. The UAE dirham is being traded at NPR 39.99 for buying and NPR 40.16 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at NPR 37.26 for buying and NPR 37.41 for selling.

Likewise, the buying rate for 100 South Korean won has been set at NPR 10.19 and the selling rate at NPR 10.23. The Swedish krona has been fixed at NPR 16.59 for buying and NPR 16.66 for selling, while the Danish krone stands at NPR 23.45 for buying and NPR 23.55 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar at NPR 18.81 and the selling rate at NPR 18.89. The Kuwaiti dinar has been fixed at a buying rate of NPR 481.97 and a selling rate of NPR 483.94, while the Bahraini dinar stands at NPR 389.59 for buying and NPR 391.18 for selling. Similarly, the Omani riyal has been fixed at NPR 381.53 for buying and NPR 383.09 for selling. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at NPR 160.00 and the selling rate at NPR 160.15.

The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It has also noted that the exchange rates determined by commercial banks may differ, and that the updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
