Pokhara Metropolitan City, flydubai Sign MOU to Promote Pokhara-Dubai Air Service

Pokhara, September 2, 2026 ( Keshavbhojpure) : Pokhara Metropolitan City (PMC) and flydubai (Dubai Aviation Corporation) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at jointly promoting the Pokhara-Dubai international air service and strengthening Pokhara’s position as an internationally connected tourism destination.

The agreement provides a framework for cooperation between the two parties to raise public awareness of the air service, which is scheduled to commence on September 23, 2026, as mutually confirmed by the parties.

Under the agreement, Pokhara Metropolitan City will provide suitable public or municipal promotional space free of charge for 15 consecutive days, subject to applicable laws, municipal procedures and availability. The promotional space may include street-pole advertising locations, public display areas, municipal premises and other locations mutually agreed upon by the parties.

PMC will also support the promotion of the flight through its official digital platforms, social media and institutional communication channels. The metropolitan city will facilitate coordination with relevant stakeholders to support the promotional campaign.

Meanwhile, flydubai will be responsible for the design, production, printing, transportation, installation and removal of all promotional materials. The airline will also provide artwork, photographs, videos, flight information, branding guidelines and other digital content required for the campaign.

The two parties may jointly undertake outdoor advertising, digital promotion, destination branding, media communication and other public-awareness activities. Any use of the name, logo or branding of either party will require prior approval and compliance with the respective brand guidelines.

The MOU specifies that PMC will provide the agreed promotional space without municipal space rental charges, subject to applicable rules, while flydubai will bear the costs associated with producing, installing and removing its promotional materials. Any additional financial commitments will require a separate written agreement.

All activities under the MOU will be carried out in accordance with applicable laws, municipal procedures, aviation requirements, advertising standards and necessary approvals. The agreement also opens the possibility of continued cooperation in tourism promotion, destination marketing, international connectivity and other mutually beneficial areas.

The MOU will remain valid for one month from the date of signing, unless extended, amended or terminated through mutual written agreement. Any disputes arising from the agreement will be addressed through good-faith consultations, with the MOU governed by the laws of Nepal.

The agreement is expected to contribute to greater international visibility for Pokhara, facilitate tourism connectivity and support the city’s efforts to strengthen its profile as an international tourism and economic destination.
